About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum and Instruction:
Develop and implement a comprehensive PHE curriculum.
Conduct classes on various physical activities, sports, and health education topics.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support.
Student Engagement:
Encourage active participation in physical activities and healthy living.
Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and events.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play.
Health Education:
Teach students about nutrition, personal health, and wellness.
Address health-related issues within the school community.
Safety and Supervision:
Ensure student safety during physical activities.
Maintain and inspect equipment and facilities for safety.
Collaboration:
Work with other teachers and staff to support student learning.
Participate in school meetings and parent-teacher conferences.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Health Education, or a related field.
Teaching certification or licensure in physical education.
Previous experience teaching PHE at the primary or secondary school level.
Strong knowledge of physical and health education principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
